Arianna, native of Drune, daughter of mob boss Carmine Andolini. Drune Babalon has always been a tale of two cities for Arianna. She has always been the mafia princess, going to the finest schools, attending the most exclusive parties, surrounded by both celebrity and the city elite. She never felt the hardships that most people in cities like Drune and Night City have had to live through. She never felt it, but she was always concerned about it.
She was treated by all in her father's circles like the most precious of stones, handled with the most extreme care and caution. However, she has always rebelled against her family, mostly anonymously. She ran with the crowds that would break into warehouses and hold big rave-type parties, take lots of drugs, drink lots of Smash and wake up without a memory or care in the world. The surprising part is that they would always give the money that they earned from cover charges and by selling Smash to local charities, orphanages and churches. Always trying to help others while still disregarding her own health and sanity as often as possible.
Arianna, wanted for nothing, yet did not want anything. She wasn't superficial. Her hardware was never diamonds and platinum, instead it was ocular implants, hacker armbands and portable BD devices. She has two sleek StormTech cars fortified with Militech bulletproof material and the latest defenses. Yet she enjoys her old black muscle car and is often found under the hood while in her friend's garage. She loves her holographic tats almost as much as she enjoys hacking into everything that she could. To call Arianna an enigma would be an understatement. She knew of her father's business. Yet she spent much of her time trying to catch cyber criminals and report them to the proper authorities. In some cases she had her father's own men put away. The thrill of breaking and entering without ever being seen was almost as addictive as the Smash her and her friends enjoyed so much. She had to remain anonymous though. The police was filled with people in her father's pocket.
She still holds the guilt of the death of her father's best friend. Enzo Gabinni was the best man at her father's wedding and followed him from Night City to Drune Babalon. He was the god-father to two of her half-brothers, born of different mothers. Carmine had kids with many women, almost as if having children was a hobby of his. Enzo was skimming off the top of casino profits and many of Carmine's bank accounts. Arianna found the worm that was making it's way through Carmine's holdings along with the accounts of many prominent corporate executives. She wasn't concerned about who was being robbed, just that she caught a criminal in the act. Enzo was found in his Veneno missing all of his fingers and toes, his cyber gear stripped off with a bullet hole in between his eyes. She feels that she was the reason that her father killed his best friend. Then she realizes how ridiculous that sounds , their business has only two ways out, death or prison. They do it to themselves. Then she goes back to her cyber sleuthing.
She took tonight off from her normal activities. Her and her friends decided it was time to dance the night away. Where would be the best place to blow off steam tonight? Then one of her friends reads the sign “Drune presents Vlad 937 at Biohazard.”
